Vice President & CFO

Scott has been Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Second Generation, Ltd. since 1999. Scott is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and is a lawyer (inactive) in the State of Ohio. Scott is involved in the financial review and oversight and serves as CFO of many of the portfolio companies. Scott also assists in evaluating new investment opportunities.
 
Scott, a resident of Highland Heights, previously was a Partner at Cohen & Company, a regional public accounting firm where he worked for 17 years. Scott helped develop the firm’s Litigation Support Department, advised entrepreneurs and served on the Executive Committee.

    Scott graduated from Mayfield High School, The University of Michigan – majoring in accounting, and Cleveland State University College of Law (formerly Cleveland Marshall College of Law). His civic activities have included serving as Board Member and President of the City Club of Cleveland; being a Board Member and President of Cleveland State University Law Alumni Association; being a Board Member and Officer of the Cleveland Baseball Federation; Leadership Cleveland Class of 1998; and serving as treasurer for political campaigns, including Frank Jackson, for a Better Cleveland, Celebrate Cleveland and Cleveland Safety and Services.
