Matthew Embrescia is President of Second Generation, Ltd., a family-owned investment firm based in Cleveland, Ohio. He oversees investments and operating businesses across technology, media, advanced manufacturing, real estate and Internet infrastructure.
Throughout his career, Matthew has focused on businesses undergoing technological or structural change, with particular experience in Internet identity, domain names and the Domain Name System (DNS).

His current work increasingly focuses on the intersection of digital identity, artificial intelligence and trusted online information, including how domain infrastructure and verified identity can help people and AI systems identify authoritative sources on the Internet.

Matthew has extensive experience at the intersection of real estate and technology.
Through Second Generation and its affiliated companies, he has been involved in the development and operation of .REALTOR and .REALESTATE and in technologies designed to help real estate professionals establish and manage their digital identities.
He is a frequent participant in discussions surrounding real estate technology, MLS innovation, Internet identity and the changing ways consumers discover real estate professionals and information online.
Matthew has appeared as a speaker at the International MLS Forum and other industry events discussing technology, digital platforms and innovation in real estate.
Leadership and Community
Matthew has held leadership positions within Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), including leadership roles within its Cleveland chapter.
He has also served on corporate, industry and nonprofit boards throughout his career.
Education
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing from Georgetown University.
He is fluent in Spanish.
